The instructions on this page will help you to create a rule designed to handle messages marked as “Spam”. These messages have been identified as “Spam” by our mail server, but they are still delivered to your mailbox. Sometimes a message may be incorrectly identified, and we want to allow you to see those messages as well. This rule will put all junk emails into a special folder so you can retrieve anything that was incorrectly identified.

Residence Hall Internet connections are limited. Some students have tried to get around this by adding their own routers, switches, or wireless Internet sharing devices. These devices are not allowed by our Acceptable Use Policy.
Internet routers, gateways, and switches, whether they are wireless or not, will create problems with our MSSU network.
These devices are designed to build a network within a home to share an Internet connection.

The Information Services Office will not be able to create your user-id account and password immediately at the time of your enrollment. If you pre-enroll, the user-id and password are printed on the statements you receive in the mail. Subsequently, new accounts are created every afternoon. The account information will typically be available to you the 1 to 2 days after it is created.
- If you appear in person with a picture ID at the ITS Help Desk (Spiva Library 2nd floor).
- Call the ITS Help Desk at (659-4444).

It is the responsibility of each Internet user in the residence halls to keep their own computer updated and virus-free. Furthermore, we encourage you to be cautious Internet users. For example, do not open unexpected email attachments, even if it appears to be from someone that you know. Modern viruses will spoof (forge) email addresses, so you don’t know who the email really came from. This page has been updated with links to free antivirus software and security information from Microsoft. The procedures below apply to all users of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
